This is great for the business owner on a DIY budget or someone who wants to become a Social Media Marketing Manager that sells their services to other businesses.
Custom Pages Work
I've created dozens of custom Facebook Fan Pages for a number of companies and am here to tell you, they work. But don't take my word for it, here are a few direct quotes from a few of my happy clients.
Beanies has had a great working relationship with Net Profits for the past few months. James has increased our Facebook activity... I have seen an increase because of his efforts and plan continually working with James. ~ Marcia Endicott, Owner Beanies Mexican Restaurant
James brought a lot of great ideas for my bussiness (sic). With his help, we increased our facebook activity and customers at the door... I would defenetely (sic) recommend him to anybody who want to increase their bussiness (sic). ~ Mike Tsirlin, Owner Zarkos Nightclu
Now you can create your own custom Facebook Fan Pages without any technical skills or knowledge and get professional results.
Like Us Pages
What kind of Fan Pages? Pages that have engaging elements such as "Like" coupons. This is a unique page or "tab" that a customer or prospective customer clicks on to "Like" your brand and receives a coupon or promo code in doing so. Facebook has tried to eliminate this type of "fan gate" but hasn't. Why? Simply, they work. This has to be the #1 method I have found to get more fans and build a base to continually market to quickly. Here's an example to the right from Fireworks Popcorn.
This page works very simply. Non-fans do not see the coupon code, just the message to Like the page to reveal a great coupon. Once they like your page they coupon automatically opens. They redeem the coupon in your store or the promo code online at checkout. Simple and great.
I could go on for several pages how to use these to cheaply and effectively gain fans and followers.
Newsletter Sign Up Pages
Create a simple page for your customers to sign up for your Newsletter, Birthday Club, Coupon Club or whatever you are calling it, right from Facebook. Many of the popular email programs such as Constant Contact and Mail Chimp integrate very easily. If you don't have an e-Newsletter you can start one using a free program such as Mail Chimp. I've tried many and to me, MailChimp is the easiest to use. This is what Beanies Mexican Restaurant Newsletter Sign Up page looks like on Facebook using Mail Chimp as the email client. If you want to check out Mail Chimp here's the link MailChimp. MailChimp has free accounts available for people that have subscriber lists under 2500 people. Can't beat free!
e-Commerce Your Facebook
If you are running an e-commerce site you can incorporate your site right into Facebook. There's no need to duplicate anything. Just use a simple i-frame and in 30 seconds you're storefront is running in Facebook. Here's an example of a shop from Cheesehead Zone. If you don't know how to create an i-frame simply Google "create i-frame" to get several solutions. One that I use because it's foolproof is the Online iFrame Generator.
Lights, Camera, Action
The last example I'm going to show you is incorporating video onto your Facebook Fan Page. Here is Zarko's Nightclub. They have videos of the club on their custom tab / page called appropriately "Video Playlist." The video themselves are hosted on You Tube and shown on Facebook using an "embedded link." Another one of those pages that is easy to create but has potential for a huge impact.
